Cosmetic–Microdermabrasion What It is Microdermabrasion refers to various processes that remove the corneal layer (dead skin layer) of the epidermis. Dermabrasion refers to processes that remove the entire epidermis, exposing the bloody dermal layer below. With microdermabrasion the process is very superficial and no blood is involved.
